Our Policies
Our policies must be based on the principle of sustainable development - development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Our development plans should not be bound by 5-year election cycles. Our focus must be on the long-term, balanced development of our country, in a manner that positively impacts every member of the population.

Integrated national development planning must be a central feature of the operations of the government.

People must be at the centre of all our plans. Everything that we do must be done to improve the quality of life of our citizens and empower them to take greater advantage of the opportunities with which they are presented.

Citizens should never be discriminated against or placed in a disadvantageous position because of the political party that they support. Every Saint Lucian, regardless of political affiliation, is entitled to the same treatment, the same level of services and the same degree of assistance from their government. State resources should not be used to reward political support or repay political debts.

It is imperative that we commit to developing our human resources so that our citizens can compete with the best of what the world has to offer.
Our goal has to be the development of a nation that values its indigenous resources and is regarded as an important and influential member of the global community of nations.
